Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units block ISIL’s escape route to Syria Liberate seven villages


DAMASCUS, SYRIA (3:45 A.M.) – The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (Hashd Al-Sha’abi) began their military operations in the western countryside of Mosul on Saturday, targeting the vast area between the provincial capital and Syrian border.
Backed by Iraqi airstrikes, the Popular Mobilization Units managed to liberate 7 villages encompassing nearly 35km of territory in western Mosul, leaving the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) without a proper exit route to SSyria.
With the Popular Mobilization Forces’ assault on Saturday, the Islamic State is now forced to find an alternative route to Syria via Mosul.

Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces managed on Saturday to liberate seven villages in south west of Mosul city from the occupation of the so-called ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ (ISIL) takfiri group, along with 35 km in the depth of the area, PMF website reported.
PMF declared Tal Tibah area liberated , stating that forces are advancing toward Tal Al-Jahesh.
Senn Al-Thoban, Al-Hamza, Al-Haram, Ein Al-Bayda, Sajma and Ein Nasser have been also recaptured.
Moreover, PMF stated that AL-Farisiyya and Al-Mostantiqiyyah towns are being under encirclement as a prelude of Iraqi forces incursion.
