“The Syrian people have fought for five years against any partition plans for Syria.  The Syrian people do not want any partition in Syria and I am sure they will succeed to keep the territorial integrity and unity of Syria.”

Dr Bouthaina Shaaban, outspoken media advisor to Syrian President Bashar al Assad, tears into John Kerry’s Plan B statement, to partition Syria.  In an interview with RT, Dr Shaaban categorically rejects any possibility of the Syrian people accepting any partitioning plans being proposed by Kerry or of course, Israel.

It may be too late to keep it as a whole Syria if we wait much longer,” Kerry told the US Senate foreign relations committee on February 23rd.

Of course, we know this is not plan B.  It has been plan A from day one, not only in Syria but across the region.

Prior to the Saudi-led coalition war of aggression against Yemen, the Saudis had persuaded their marionette , former President Mansour Hadi to accept their partitioning plan for Yemen. Yemen would be divided into 6 states along sectarian and tribal lines that would ensure inter state conflict for years to come and successfully isolate the Ansar’Allah thorn in their side in a landlocked and resource deprived state in the centre of the country, Azal.
Ansar’Allah and the majority of the Yemeni people rejected this plan in favour of a return to the two state confederacy which would have given the South its much sought after autonomy.

The Ansarullah movement and the Southern Separatist movement were both in favour of a confederal state system where Yemen would be divided into north and south existing within a federal state.  Most of us were ok with that.

Jamal Benomar, the former UN peace envoy to Yemen, stated very openly that the warring factions were actually reaching an agreement before the first bomb hit.
“When this campaign started, one thing that was significant but went unnoticed is that the Yemenis were close to a deal that would institute power-sharing with all sides, including the Houthis,” said Mr. Benomar, a Moroccan diplomat. Thus it becomes obvious that our aspirations are being sacrificed at the altar of Imperialist greed and ambition.” ~ Yemen A Voice in the Wilderness

It is the determination of the Yemeni people to reject an externally imposed sectarianism in place of the secularism that has been the mainstay of their society for centuries, that has provoked the vicious and brutal Saudi punishment,  rained down upon them for almost a full year, with the blatant complicity of NATO, the US and the UN.

Lets go back to October 2015.  “The Panel on “The Shared 21st Century International Mission” featuring CIA Director John Brennan, former UK MI6 Chief John Sawers, Director of the French Directorate for External Security Bernard Bajolet, and former Israeli National Security Advisor Yaacov Amidror. Moderated by David Ignatius, Columnist at the Washington Post. Held as part of the 2nd Annual Ethos and Profession of Intelligence Conference, co-hosted by the Central Intelligence Agency and the George Washington University. Held on October 27, 2015.”

“When I look at Libya, Syria, Iraq and Yemen, it’s hard for me to envision a central government in those countries that’s going to be able to exert control or authority over the territory that was carved out post World War II.”  ~ John Brennan CIA Director
The Middle East we have known is over, I doubt it will come back.  We see that Syria is already divided on the ground, that the regime is controlling only a small part of the country, only one-third of the country which was established after WWII.  The north is controlled by the Kurds. We have the same thing in Iraq, I doubt really that one can come back to the previous situation.” ~ Bernard Bajolet, head of France’s DGSE external intelligence agency.

Dr Bouthaina Shaaban is not responding to a disingenuous comment from John Kerry but to an agenda that has been in the pipeline since the formulation of the Oded Yinon Plan by Israel.

“[The Yinon plan] is an Israeli strategic plan to ensure Israeli regional superiority. It insists and stipulates that Israel must reconfigure its geo-political environment through the balkanization of the surrounding Arab states into smaller and weaker states.

Israeli strategists viewed Iraq as their biggest strategic challenge from an Arab state. This is why Iraq was outlined as the centerpiece to the balkanization of the Middle East and the Arab World. In Iraq, on the basis of the concepts of the Yinon Plan, Israeli strategists have called for the division of Iraq into a Kurdish state and two Arab states, one for Shiite Muslims and the other for Sunni Muslims. The first step towards establishing this was a war between Iraq and Iran, which the Yinon Plan discusses.

The Atlantic, in 2008, and the U.S. military’s Armed Forces Journal, in 2006, both published widely circulated maps that closely followed the outline of the Yinon Plan. Aside from a divided Iraq, which the Biden Plan also calls for, the Yinon Plan calls for a divided Lebanon, Egypt, and Syria. The partitioning of Iran, Turkey, Somalia, and Pakistan also all fall into line with these views. The Yinon Plan also calls for dissolution in North Africa and forecasts it as starting from Egypt and then spilling over into Sudan, Libya, and the rest of the region.” ~ Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya

Dr Bouthaina Shaaban is responding to the threats against Syria and the region, with familiar passion and strength of character that has come to symbolize the resolve of the Syrian people in the face of a multi layered war of aggression being waged against it by over 80 hostile nations and their proxy armies of mercenaries and terrorists
