A Home is Not Made of BRICS

Some argument happened around the BRICS countries lately here on fb , whereas some leftist people are seeing in these countries the real answer and even the solution to many problems societies and countries are suffering from. BRICS countries -of course- should be thanked for defending Syria and opposing any foreign interference in Syria , but this is not enough. This stand should been have been adopted regarding Libya as well . Libya shouldn’t have endured this painful intervention and left to face the unknown .

Even if taking a general stand- that can be construed as anti imperialist stand - is helpful and worthy of praise , this does not mean that the BRICS hold the keys to all solutions or that they are capable of changing radically the situation in favor of people . The BRICS countries- until now - are not capable of assuming this role for different reasons . The main reason is that these countries are in a way part of the world order and have not severed their ties with it but - after considering the situation - they will defend their own interests and stand by those whom they see as capable of defending themselves. These people who are capable to defend themselves happen to be Iran and Iran’s allies meaning Syria , Hizbullah and -to a certain extent - Iraq.
It is this axis of the Resistance that is changing the World situation in favor of the people – it has this agenda -and not actually the BRICS but the BRICS is supporting those for different and other reasons

Some people -especially leftists- have difficulties considering this axis of the Resistance -or the Islamic Republic of Iran- to be the harbinger of an alternative to the world Order and are investing in the BRICS alone . The reason is that these leftists are hooked on a certain concept of the revolution- which is western- and cannot conceive of a revolution that is Islamic ie: a revolution that is not secular nor Marxist nor communist nor western. They deny Iran its revolution and are looking for a substitute to Iran that will explain the struggle taking place .
To those we say , a revolution does not have a fixed shape or structure but could take any shape or form probably the shape of those that are transformed by it . If it had assumed the communist shape in Cuba , it has assumed an Islamic shape in Iran .As there are many peoples and cultures so also there are many forms and colors of revolution.

The children of such revolution can recognize it and identify with it whatever shape it takes like a child recognizes his mother even if she dresses differently. But those so called leftists who seek radical change will remain alienated from such change because of the prejudices they carry against religions and cultures and against Islam in particular . Those leftists will keep looking for their idols and symbols and slogans somewhere else while the revolution is happening just under their noses.
