Mishaal stresses keenness to make his meeting with Abbas a success

GAZA, (PIC)-- The head of Hamas’s political bureau, Khaled Mishaal, said Monday he is keen to make his meeting with the PA President Mahmoud Abbas a success to help implement the reconciliation agreement on the ground. He explained that he will discuss with Abbas putting the Palestinian house in order and internal understanding in various areas, especially the political area.
He said in a statement to alresalah.net on Monday: “I would not like to divulge to much detail about the proposed meeting with Abu Mazen, but the a date will be set in the coming few days.”
He said that the present circumstances and events on the ground reinforce the Palestinian tendency towards understanding and implementation of the reconciliation agreement to shore up national unity.
Mishaal congratulated the Palestinian people in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, 1948-occupied Palestine and in exile on the occasion of Eid al-Adha and said: "despite your extreme suffering, you will move from one victory to another on the path of liberating Palestine, the recovery of our land and rights and realising our national goals; return to our land and establish our sovereign state with Jerusalem as its capital.”
He said that victory for the Arab and Islamic Ummah is on its way, stressing that events in the Arab and international arena constitute favourable signs which increase Palestinian confidence in victory, adding: “Our trust in victory from God is absolute, our confidence in ourselves is great, because we are a people who made many sacrifices, exceptionally determined with a long history of giving, resistance and struggle.”
He added that what is happening in the Arab world is a process of “regaining the spirit anew” emphasizing that the exposure of Zionist and American position coupled with international impotence, reinforce the future of the Palestinians.
Mishaal called on Palestinians for more forbearance, steadfastness, unity and improve resistance means until the realisation of national and people’s goals.
