What They Really Think of Christians in Israel

LEFTWING-CHRISTIAN.NET

I thought I would post this as a follow-up to the article by Charles Carlson I posted yesterday. The video is of an Israeli TV show (with English subtitles) showing people getting all hot and bothered because members of the group Jews for Jesus have been—heaven forbid—handing out literature on the streets of Israel. "The problem is that people don't realize they're missionaries," comments one dumfounded member of the public. "It's scary. They wear yarmulkes and fringed garments, like like religious Jews." While another somewhat less ruffled fellow seems to dismiss it all as no big deal: "A few months ago I received the New Testament. I destroyed it and that's it," he comments with a light shrug.

If you haven't yet read Carlson's article, I suggest you do so. Thanks to the work he and Strait Gate Ministries are doing, some Christian Zionists, mostly of the younger generation, it seems, are beginning to see the folly of their ways. The reality quite simply is that the average Israeli detests Christians and Christianity and wants nothing to do with either; my advice to Christian Zionists is to respect their wishes and stay out of Occupied Palestine until such time as the land is liberated—as it will be at some point.
