Chomsky: ‘US considers democratic ME a threat’

The Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting (FAIR) , a monthly magazine, held its 25th Anniversary event in New York on April 28, 2011. Dr. Noam Chomsky, Democracy Now! host Amy Goodman, Salon.com columnist Glenn Greenwald and Academy Award-winning filmmaker Michael Moore attended the event.
The MIT Professor Noam Chomsky, a Crypto Zionist, as expected, blamed Washington and its allies for doing everything in their powers to make sure that the people in the Middle East don’t get regimes of their choices.

“Across the (Arab World), an overwhelming majority of the population regards the United States as the main threat to their interests. The US and its allies will do anything they can to prevent authentic democracy in the Arab world,” said Chomsky. Watch video of his speech below.

Interestingly, according to a recent PEW poll – 83% of the participants called Israel the greatest threat to the region, followed by the US. Only 10% had similar views about Islamic Republic of Iran. According to World Public Opinion poll results released in March 2011 -  49% gave Israel an unfavourable evaluation, and 21% gave it a favourable one. Out of 27 countries polled in 2011, 22 leaned negative, two leaned positive, and three were divided.

“The reason is very simple. Plainly, the US and its allies are not going to like governments which are responsive to the will of the people. If that happens, not only will the US not control the region, but it will be thrown out,” claimed Chomsky.

Naturally, the Jewish-American political analyst doesn’t want to admit that it’s Tel Aviv which is paranoid of democracy in the Arab World. American leaders know but affraid to admit that democratic regimes will be good for American interests in the Arab world and the Muslim world in large.

“Actually, the most interesting case in many respects is Bahrain. Bahrain is quite important for two reasons. One reason, which has been reported, is that it’s the home port of the US Fifth Fleet, major military force in the region. Another more fundamental reason is that Bahrain is about 70 percent Shia, and it’s right across the causeway from eastern Saudi Arabia, which also is majority Shia and happens to be where most of Saudi oil is,”said Chomsky.

It’s not only the US military base which the US-Saudis are trying to protect – but because Bahraini King (belongs to Sunni minority) is a Zionist troll who bragged about intelligence contacts with Israel, and instructed that official statements stop referring to Israel as the “Zionist entity,” according to the latest trove of documents revealed by WikiLeaks. Furthermore, a future democratic regime in Bahrain, which was once part of Iran, will certainly be pro-Tehran – and that’s is ‘no, no’ to the Zionist regime.

Chomsky added that as for oil-rich countries such as Libya, the US and its allies are more inclined to “get a more reliable dictator” and banish an “oil-rich dictator who’s not reliable, who’s a loose cannon. That’s Libya.”

Qaddafi had long been America’s friendly dictator, who allowed western oil companies to monopolize the Libyan oil export. The French-US-British-Italian invasion of Libya is not about oil, but currency and loans.
According to the IMF, Libya’s Central Bank is 100% state owned. The IMF estimates that the bank has nearly 144 tons of gold in its vaults. It is significant that in the months running up to the UN resolution that allowed the US and its allies to send troops into Libya, Muammar al-Qaddafi was openly advocating the creation of a new currency that would rival the dollar and the euro. In fact, he called upon African and Muslim nations to join an alliance that would make this new currency, the gold dinar, their primary form of money and foreign exchange. They would sell oil and other resources to the US and the rest of the world only for gold dinars.

Chomsky argued that the United States fears that it will eventually be forced out of the region if governments springing from the sovereign will of the people emerge in the region. However, it’s not America’s fear but it’s the Zionist regime which sees its death if the Arab world turns democratic.
