Arrested Agent Says Mossad Trained Him, Iran Vows to Bring Israel to Justice

11/01/2011 The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman said Tuesday that Tehran intends to bring Israel to justice over "crimes against humanity and our scientists," Iran's Press TV reported on Tuesday.

Iran accused Israel's Mossad for the murder of a nuclear physicist last year, and Iran's foreign ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said that "we will definitely utilize all our means and capabilities to follow up the case in international legal bodies." “The issue that we will actively pursue is the condemnation of this illegal regime (Israel) and its punishment as the perpetrator of crimes against humanity and our scientists,” Mehmanparast said at his weekly press briefing on Tuesday.

Iran's state-run Press TV showed footage on Monday evening of a man who said he had been trained by the Israeli Mossad and been involved in the assassination of the nuclear scientist.

The unidentified man, arrested by Iran's intelligence service, said he had travelled to Tel Aviv for meetings with Mossad operatives.

"There were two new men that I met, two Israeli officers who knew Hebrew perfectly," the man told the camera. "We arrived at the airport in Tel Aviv and at passport control I was asked a question and since I didn’t know Hebrew it aroused the suspicion of the official."

"At that moment, the person responsible for me came and presented a ticket, took my passport and we went a different way," he said. "We exited Tel Aviv on the highway towards Jerusalem and after half an hour arrived at Mossad headquarters, which is located on the main road between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem."

The man described what he assumed was "Mossad headquarters": A building surrounded by a 3-4 kilometer long wall and encircled by an electric fence.

He also described how the Mossad assassinated Iranian nuclear scientist Masoud Ali-Mohammadi.

The man said that Israeli agents trained him in surveillance, counter-surveillance and how to stick a bomb under a car. He also said he learned how to use a motorcycle bomb.

The man went on to describe how he was supposedly asked to assassinate Ali-Mohammadi. "At the headquarters near Tel Aviv, I was trained and I received precise details on Dr. Al-Mohammadi and the surroundings of his home, so that I would be completely familiar with the area and the operational conditions of the assassination."

Iranian Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi said the Islamic Republic has succeeded in overcoming the so-called strong Israeli intelligence service Mossad supported by the US and Western states. Iranian forces managed to penetrate into the depth of Mossad information system and recognize and dismantle its different networks, Moslehi told reporters on Tuesday.

“The spy and terror networks were working as a cell which means that they had no information about each other's activities and they did not know one another,” Moslehi added. He also warned of threats against top scientists in regional countries, saying, “All prominent scientists are posed to the terror threats of security service of the Zionist regime (Israel).” He stressed that Israel opposes scientific progress of Muslim and regional countries.
