AL-KHALIL, (PIC)-- A group of Israeli settlers under military escort attacked a number of university students as they were en route to help Palestinian farmers in harvesting olive trees in Tel Armida and Jabal Jawher area in Al-Khalil city on Saturday.

Local sources said that the Israeli soldiers who came along with the settlers threatened the students that they would be shot dead if they tried to reach the olive trees in Tel Armida.

They added that the soldiers prevented the students from helping the farmers and declared the area a military zone.

In a separate incident, the Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Dahyria town, south of Al-Khalil, and blew up a plastic house belonging to a Palestinian citizen before withdrawing from the area. The reason behind this behavior is still unknown.

In Jenin city, eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli occupation authority started to carry out expansion activities in Shaked settlement, which was built on usurped Palestinian lands in Yabad village and other nearby villages.

The eyewitness added that they saw Israeli bulldozers and heavy vehicles carrying out widespread excavations in order to build new settlement units.
