RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Two Palestinian citizens were wounded during clashes with the militia of Mahmoud Abbas, the ex-chief of the Palestinian Authority (PA), which stormed the refugee camp of Jalazone in Ramallah to kidnap a prominent Hamas leader.

Eyewitnesses reported that a large number of armed men stormed the refugee camp at two o’clock after midnight amid intensive gunfire and encircled the house of Khalil Amer to kidnap him.

They added that violent clashes broke out between the citizens in the camp and Abbas’s militia that heavily opened fire at the angry crowd which led to the injury of two relatives of Amer before taking them to hospital and the transfer of his mother and aunt after they fainted.

They also said that the militia went on the rampage through the house and embarked on beating Amer’s family before leaving the scene amid heavy gunfire.

Jalazone is located near the Israeli settlement of Beit El and within an Israeli-controlled area, where Abbas’s militias are not allowed in before they coordinate with Israel.

Abbas’s militias did not spare other West Bank areas, where they kidnapped four Palestinian citizens affiliated with Hamas on Saturday from Jenin, Nablus, Qalqiliya and Tulkarem.

It was also reported by informed sources that the health condition of prisoner Bassam Eid, who has been in Abbas’s jails for about a month, deteriorated badly as a result of his exposure to excruciating torture at the hands of PA officers.

In a related context, the PA's unconstitutional government in Ramallah is still persistent in dismissing employees and civil servants from their jobs for their political affiliation, where sources in Nablus reported that four employees, who are thought to be affiliated with Hamas, were fired from their jobs in Al-Tadamun charity.

The sources added that Abbas’s militia summoned the four employees for interrogation and forced them to sign pledges not to enter the charity once again
